Sunday, November 26: Verdant Crooked Path - Poetry and Music w/ Au, Johnston, Tosoff and Williams. 7 pm - 10 pm, $10/PWYC.

Allison Au, Pete Johnston, Amanda Tosoff, and Felicity Williams each have cultivated deep and personal relationships with poetry through their diverse selection of artistic projects. Now, they're bringing their individual compositional voices and poetic perspectives into the fold as they compose and arrange works for a 12-piece ensemble featuring some of the country's most celebrated young players.

Au (alto saxophone and flute), Johnston (bass), Tosoff (piano), and Williams (voice) are joined by: vocalists Laura Swankey and Alex Samaras, Ted Crosby on saxophone and clarinets, trumpet player Madeleine Ertel, trombonist Heather Saumer, Patrick O'Reilly on guitar, Michael Davidson on vibraphone, and drummer Ethan Ardelli.

The concert will also feature readings by a cast of local luminaries including Aisha Sasha John, Randi Helmers, Benjamin De Boer, and Sindi Pinari.

The inimitable Alicia Nauta will provide a projection environment for the evening.

Doors are at 7pm, music starts at 8pm. $10 or PWYC.
