MAB: Founded in Cleveland, Mourning (A) BLKstar is an afrofuturist collective who combine live instrumentation with hip hop production techniques. Deploying a captivating multi-front-person formation, their songs refract glimmers of hope and despair through a prism of American black music forms, from jazz and soul through rap and other forms of sample based music. Their astonishing live show has been featured at a number of international festivals and is not to be missed.
