Sorrow Songs and Laments

Honeypaw and friends present the ancient lament tradition from places like Finland, Lithuania, and Persia. The role of the lamenter is to guide their community through periods of transition, and we believe that this is as important today as it ever has been. Matti Palonen and Jurgita Zvinklyte attended the first symposium of the lament tradition in Helsinki in May, and have been inspired to take part in the revival of this lost art.
