Slow Rise Music: Here Be Sirens
November 18 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
Slow Rise Music is proud to announce its third production, Here Be Sirens, live and live-streaming from the Main Hall of Toronto’s Tranzac Club. Designed as an immersive musical experience centred around the unifying theme of siren song, all the while exploring the symbolism associated with femininity, the human voice, and temptation, Here Be Sirens promises to be truly one-of-kind. Performers include sopranos Natalya Gennadi, Midori Marsh, Shantelle Przybylo, and McKenzie Warriner, and VC2, comprised of cellists Amahl Arulanandam and Bryan Holt, alongside quadrophonic surround sound electronics. Majority world-premiere commissioned music by composers including Aida Khorsandi, Kathryn Knowles, Paul Lessard, Ashley Seward, and Kate Soper. Sound design by Tristan Zaba, set design by Jessica Hiemstra. This project generously supported by private donors.
The Tranzac event calendar is updated regularly. Some events (such as private rehearsals, parties, and tentative events that are being contracted) are not displayed in the calendar. As such the calendar is not a comprehensive representation of venue availability. If you do not see your event in the calendar, please review our Event Promotion & Style Guide
