Playclothes with Ellen Grace and Kyle Nethersole

June 16, 2023 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

7pm: doors open
7:15 pm: Ellen Grace
7:45 pm: Kyle Nethersole
8:15 pm: Playclothes

Playclothes is the shoegaze-influenced project of Etobicoke-based interdisciplinary artist Jaime Redford (they/them), tonight in its solo iteration for the first time. Playclothes experiments with choral soundscapes and unconventional forms to conjure worlds of deep dissociation, isolation, and play within those confines.

Ellen Grace (she/they) is a writer, artist and musician from Ktaqmkuk (Newfoundland), currently living in Tkaranto (Toronto). She is currently rebuilding her relationship with music and performance and hopes you’ll join her for an exercise in vulnerability.

Kyle Nethersole (he/him) is a producer, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and lens-based artist from the Toronto area. As a skilled improviser with a background in jazz, he fluently weaves together influences of folk, hip hop, and experimental electronic music in his solo practice.
