Lonesome Ace Stringband – Try to Make it Fly (CD and Vinyl Release)
November 1 @ 7:30 pm - 11:30 pm
Toronto's own Lonesome Ace Stringband celebrate the release of their 6th album "Try to Make it Fly". Since their legendary residencies at venues such as The Silver Dollar, The Dakota Tavern, and The Brunswick House, the band has toured internationally and played many of the top festivals in Canada and the U.S.A. Featuring John Showman (fiddle), Chris Coole (banjo) and Max Malone (bass), the new album offers 12 new original songs that stretch and blur the boundaries of bluegrass, Americana, and pop.
There will be a very special opening set by a band that features the three recording engineers who worked on this project. "The Engineers" features Gavin Gardner (Wooden Sky), Andrew Collins (Foggy Hogtown Boys), and Jason Mercer (Ani Defranco, Ron Sexsmith).
