John Millard’s Hope Street

Hope Street features new and old songs by John Millard with improvised accompaniment by Rob Clutton and Chris Pruden.

John Millard is a songwriter, singer and banjo player who led the Polka Dogs and John Millard and Happy Day. He is known for his work composing for theatre. Most recently The Cave with Martha Ross and Tomson Highway.

Chris Pruden is a pianist/keyboardist based in Toronto, ON. Heavily influenced by jazz, contemporary classical, folk, rock and electronic music, Chris has performed across North America, China, and Europe.

Rob Clutton is a bass player who works in the spaces between composition and improvisation, in collaboration with musicians, dancers, theatre and performance artists.
