Jelena Ćirić + ZINNIA: Songs for piano in the deep of winter

Join two masterful singer-songwriters for an intimate evening of songs that light bright as a match and burn slow as a candle.
Jelena Ćirić is a Toronto native who settled in Reykjavík, Iceland in 2016, where she crafts folk-pop songs that have prompted comparisons to Laura Marling and Joni Mitchell. Her EP ‘Shelters one’ was awarded Folk Album of the Year at the 2021 Icelandic Music Awards, where she has also been nominated as Best Vocalist. Her most recent EP ‘Shelters two,’ was nominated for the Icelandic Kraumur Award for independent music.
Originally from Helena, Montana, Rachael Cardiello’s adventurous writing and explosive voice evoke Kate Bush and St. Vincent in what critics have called “dramatic pop magnificence and spine-tingling splendor.”
Don’t miss this rare occasion to see Jelena live in Toronto and to see Zinnia’s powerful songs in a stripped-down, solo show. Just the thing to get through the tail end of winter.
