NOT THE WIND, NOT THE FLAG
Colin Fisher & Brandon Valdivia’s genre spanning free improv. duo draw inspiration from psych, jazz, noise, tradition musics and their own brotherly connectivity. Colin & Brandon build familiar structures in an improvised setting. From gentle kalimba noodlings over impatient drums, they build into wells of space psych guitar noise only to deconstruct again into a whisper of bells and gongs. Surreal sax swirls refract over electronic percussion. One of the most versatile & unsung acts in the city.
ALLISON CAMERON & THOM GILL
Composer / improvisor / electronic toy noodler, Allison Cameron (c_RL) teams up with in demand avant guitarist / singer Thom Gill for a set of improvised beauty and inevitably comedy.
