Heavy On The Willie with Sarah Greene

Heavy On The Willie return to Tranzac's Southern Cross Lounge Saturday, May 4 at 10 pm with an opening set by Sarah Greene.
Originating in interpreting the songs of Willie Nelson, Heavy on the Willie is nowadays heavy on the songs of Paul Kolinski, which are songs of longing and connection, played with soul and introspection, and a desire for attunement. Paul will be joined by Michael Herring and Dave Clark for this set (possibly more folks tbc!). Check out Paul's bandcamp discography here.
Sarah Greene's songs are intimate, concise and idiosyncratically classic. Working in warm, soulful, country-tinged folk-rock ballads, Greene examines loneliness, vulnerability and the tugging poles of freedom and attachment in her songs. Greene's long-awaited sophomore album (featuring Paul Kolinski, Michael Herring, Tania Gill and Dani Nash) is due out later this year.
