An evening with François Houle

This evening with François Houle features the great Canadian clarinetist in four distinct settings.
The first set will be a kind of living sampler of Houle’s recent work in the duo format pairing his clarinet with Marco von Orelli’s cornet—recently documented on Make That Flight (HatHut/ ezz-thetics); Joe Sorbara’s drums and percussion—recently documented on Hush (HatHut/ ezz-thetics); and Jorrit Dijkstra’s saxophones—recently documented on Coastlines volume II (Afterday Audio).
In the following set, the above will be joined by bassist Josh Cole for a celebration of the music of the iconic soprano saxophonist, Steve Lacy.
