TRANZAC COVID POLICY

TRANZAC’s staff and board are excited to begin hosting in person concerts and events again, but want to ensure the safety of everyone participating, including attendees, organizers, artists, techs and staff. We will initially be reopening for seated, ticketed shows with limited capacity in the Main Hall, to enable social distancing between tables/groups and/or chairs, with a plan to resume activities in the two front rooms as soon as it feels safe to do so.

In order to attend an in person event at TRANZAC you must be fully immunized: received two doses of your COVID-19 vaccine (or one dose of the single-dose Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) COVID-19 vaccine), plus two weeks. Exceptions to the rule include children under 12 and individuals with valid medical exemptions. If you have a valid medical exemption and you are planning to participate in an event at TRANZAC please get in touch with TRANZAC’s general manager (gm@tranzac.org) 10 days before the event to request an accommodation and bring proof of a negative COVID test taken within 48 hours before the event.

We will be checking proof of vaccination at the door. Please bring either an electronic or printed proof of vaccination, as well as identification. Starting October 22, 2021, we will be using the new Ontario app to check vaccination status.

We are asking everyone to please continue to wear a mask indoors when entering/exiting the building, going to the washroom, going to the bar, and mingling with people outside of your household or bubble. You may remove your mask when at your seat/table if you like.

Musicians/performers are not required to wear masks, but will be distanced from the audience by six feet.

Currently, all events must be ticketed events, with tickets sold in advance.

TRANZAC continues to do contact tracing for everyone who is using the building.

We are staying abreast of ongoing changes with provincial COVID-19 measures, and will adjust our COVID policy as necessary.
