David is the founding force behind The McFlies and co-founder & co-host of the Corktown Ukulele Jam community. He logs dozens of gigs yearly as a solo performer, ukulele player and workshop host in addition to his many other pursuits.

Julian Fauth

The Toronto based singer and pianist practically redefines eclectic. His second album “Ramblin’ Son” opens with a free interpretation of Tommy Johnson’s “Maggie Campbell and passes through Fats Waller, “Will the Circle Be Unbroken”, Guitar Slim and a rank of quirky originals like the “Man on the Box” and “Cubist Blues”, delivering them in a voice redolent of smoky dives.

Muddy York

(Anne Lederman and Ian Bell)

Originally from Manitoba, fiddler/singer/composer Anne Lederman is strongly rooted in several Canadian musical traditions, old and new – Metis and French-Canadian, Scots-Irish, Eastern European and African. She sings in several languages and also plays mandolin, tenor guitar, piano, bones, feet, jawharp and more.

Anne began her professional career as a fiddler in the late 1970s touring with Harry Hibbs, Newfoundland’s “favourite son”. In 1983, as half of duo Muddy York with Ian Bell, she released the ground-breaking recording Scatter The Ashes: Music of Old Ontario (just re-released on CD).

Always a part-time musician, Ian Bell has none-the-less performed professionally across Canada and in the United States for over a quarter century. On his own and with a number of ensembles he has appeared at numerous folk festivals (Winnipeg, Mariposa, Edmonton, Ottawa, Yellowknife, Owen Sound, Lunenberg , Montmagny, and others) and in concerts in every sort of venue.
